About Me
Laura Bononcini joined Meta in January 2014. She is the Director of Public Policy for Southern Europe and Israel at Facebook, responsible for the development and implementation of Meta's public policy and regulatory strategy in 8 countries. She is currently also covering Public Policy for Central Europe (including Germany, Benelux and CEE). She joined the company in January 2014. Previously, she worked for almost 4 years in Google Italy as their Policy and Government Relations Manager, where she dealt, among other things, with issues related to privacy and the protection of minors. She also worked as a public policy consultant for Reti SPA and Telecom Italia. Laura holds an MA in International Relations from Sciences Po in Paris and has studied Journalism at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
