About Me

Raffi, a tech leader and engineer, is driven by a profound belief in the positive impact of technology on people's lives and the world. This conviction has shaped his career, guiding him to strategically leverage technology for societal betterment. As an executive at Twitter, Raffi led a global engineering team dedicated to optimizing Twitter's accessibility and performance worldwide. Subsequently, at Uber, he played a pivotal role in initiating and managing self-driving efforts, resulting in the rapid deployment of the first-ever self-driving passenger fleet. In response to the 2016 election of President Trump, Raffi redirected his technological expertise to the political arena. He became the inaugural Chief Technology Officer at the Democratic National Committee, assembling a unique team of campaign and industry veterans. Their mission was to fortify the party against cyber threats, particularly in the aftermath of Russian state actors breaching its security in the previous presidential election. Raffi also spearheaded a comprehensive overhaul of the party's tech infrastructure, aiming to position Democrats for success in upcoming elections. In his tenure at Emerson Collective spanning four years, Raffi has seamlessly transitioned his skills to the social sector. He collaborates across all teams and with Emerson partners, infusing data-driven approaches, advanced tools, and thoughtful product design to empower these entities in achieving their goals.
