TechCrunch, the eminent Silicon Valley media, will be at VivaTech hosting the first ever “TechCrunch Battlefield” to be held in France, to elect the best startup in Europe. The 15 preselected startups will pitch their projects on stage at VivaTech in front of a jury of entrepreneurs and investors chosen by TechCrunch.
After the first round, 5 startups will be selected to pitch on the Center Stage at VivaTech. The winning startup will receive €25,000 prize money and will be invited to pitch their project at the famous Disrupt San Francisco Battlefield next September 2018.
The 15 startups preselected by TechCrunch will all be hosted in a dedicated Startup Village within the walls of VivaTech to give them the opportunity to network with corporates, startups and investors during the 3 day event.
VivaTech and TechCrunch will also gather 1,000 hackers for 24 hours, who will “crack” the issues of major corporates, as part of the largest corporate hackathon in Europe. The 1,000 hackers will work on 6 corporate themes (data, artificial intelligence,...). 6 winning teams will share US5,000 and TechCrunch will also reward one team with a Special Prize.
