About Me

Elissa Brunato is the CEO and Founder of Radiant Matter, a material technology startup pioneering sustainable, bio-inspired colour-effect materials from cellulose. With a background in textile and garment design and manufacturing, she witnessed firsthand the industry's waste and environmental impact, particularly in embellishments and surface finishes. Determined to drive change, she founded Radiant Matter to reduce microplastic pollution, decrease petroleum dependence, promote a circular economy, and provide industries with sustainable material choices that don’t compromise on aesthetic performance.
