About Me

I have advised the Naspers/Prosus group of companies since 1996. Before joining the group full-time, I was a partner in Mallinicks Attorneys (now Webber Wentzel) and worked in London at two leading international law firms. In 2008 I was appointed Naspers and MIH group senior counsel. In this role, I led the legal teams for the group’s M&A activities in Latin America and Central and Eastern Europe. After that, I became general counsel of the Allegro Group and was promoted to general counsel: Global Transaction ecommerce. In June 2015, I was appointed General Counsel, Naspers/Prosus Group. In this role I lead the Group's Legal, Public Policy and Corporate Affairs team.

What lessons can be learned from nations that defy the odds, and how can others replicate their success to create stronger, more competitive tech markets?
