About Me

In September 2024, Julie Huguet was appointed Director of the Mission French Tech, a government initiative under the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, tasked with supporting the growth of the innovative startup ecosystem in France and abroad. Julie began her career at a Geneva-based watchmaking company, where she held strategic roles for seven years. In 2016, she founded Coworkees, a matchmaking platform connecting companies and consultants, which quickly gathered over 70,000 freelancers and facilitated thousands of collaborations. After raising over one million euros, she sold the company to Freelance.com in 2021. She then joined Freelance.com, where she created the “People and Culture” division, aiming to strengthen engagement and cohesion among 300 employees, 300,000 freelancers, and 1,000 partners through shared values. Alongside her entrepreneurial activities, Julie has been deeply involved in the French Tech ecosystem. She served as President of the French Tech Alpes Capital for over three years, actively contributing to the promotion and growth of the regional tech scene. Her professional journey and her commitment to the economic development of her region led to her being named Chevalier of the National Order of Merit in June 2023 by Marina Ferrari, then Secretary of State for Digital Affairs.
