About Me

Dr. Jean-Christophe FAUROUX is currently CEO of the start-up MecaBotiX, and a senior researcher associated to Institut Pascal (UMR 6602, Clermont-Ferrand). He obtained his French habilitation to supervise research in 2015 from Université Clermont-Ferrand II and his Ph.D. in 1999 from INSA Toulouse / Université Toulouse III. Jean-Christophe is a specialist of structural and dimensional synthesis of machines and mechanisms. He also worked as a researcher for ten years on groups of cooperative mobile robots for payload transport. He used to be Associated Director of Institut Pascal (2016-2020) in charge of intellectual property and commercial development of research. Since 2025, he is also General Secretary of the Robotics Place French cluster.
