About Me
I’m Romain Dhenin, co-founder and CEO of Bioteos, a company I created to fight air pollution using one of the most powerful natural allies we have: microalgae.
I come from a background in engineering, with a degree from Polytech Lille and an Executive MBA from IAE Lille. Before launching Bioteos, I worked in the energy sector, notably at EDF, where I saw firsthand the impact of human activity on the environment. That experience convinced me that we urgently needed solutions that were both effective and sustainable.
In 2021, I co-founded Bioteos to bring a new kind of green technology to life. At the heart of our innovation is a patented system that uses living microalgae to purify indoor air. Unlike traditional filters, our solutions don’t generate waste they transform pollution into recyclable biomass. This is more than just air purification; it’s a step toward circular, nature-based innovation.
With Bioteos, I’ve led the development of two flagship products: OXYLON Urban, designed for public infrastructure like metros, and OXYLON S, tailored for offices and corporate environments. Our goal is to make clean air a standard in every workspace not just for comfort, but for health, well-being, and sustainability.
We’ve already achieved milestones like installing the world’s first biological air purifier in a metro station, and raising over a million euros to accelerate our growth. But I believe we’re just getting started.
My commitment is simple: to act today and protect tomorrow by scaling solutions that improve air quality, respect the planet, and redefine how green tech can serve people every day.
