About Me

Stéphane Bout is a Senior Partner at McKinsey, specializing in AI/GenAI, digital, and technology transformation. He leads McKinsey Digital in France and QuantumBlack, McKinsey's AI center of excellence, while co-leading the firm's global Agile/Software Engineering practice. With over 30 years of experience as a system integrator, CIO, and strategy consultant, Stéphane advises large companies on AI, digital, and tech transformations. His expertise includes AI-driven strategies, modern technology architectures (e.g., cloud, microservices), agile delivery practices, AI/GenAI applications, legacy system upgrades (e.g., ERP modernization), and digital platform development. Previously, Stéphane was Group CIO at Casino and Altadis, and began his career at Accenture in process reengineering and software integration. He is a graduate of École Centrale de Lyon.
