About Me
Dr. Habib Belaid obtained a bachelor's degree in chemistry in 2014 from the University of Aix-Marseille. He then obtained a master's degree in Materials Science in 2016 at the University of Toulouse, which enabled him to start focusing more specifically on biomaterials for healthcare applications. He finally obtained a Ph.D. in 2019 at the University of Montpellier in co-direction between the Institut Européen des Membranes (IEM) and the Institut de Recherche en Cancérologie (IRCM) for his work on the development of 3D matrices and injectable cement for the treatment of bone lesions induced by metastatic cancers. After his Ph.D., he carried out a first postdoctoral internship at the IEM in partnership with Biologics4Life on the improvement of injectable cement by incorporating 2D materials. He is currently working as CEO of KERVALION, developing new 3D-printed composite and bioactive biomaterials for healthcare applications.
