Dongheon Lee is the founder and CEO of Asleep, Korea’s leading AI sleep tech company building a full-stack sleep care platform—from precise measurement to personalized coaching and smart environment control. Asleep’s AI sleep staging engine, powered by breathing sound alone, has demonstrated 94% clinical-grade accuracy compared to polysomnography and has been featured by WIRED as the world’s most accurate non-wearable sleep tracker.
Since founding Asleep in 2020, Dongheon has raised over $24M and led partnerships with SK Telecom, Samsung, Hyundai E&C, and 20+ enterrises. He also launched Korea’s first government-approved AI sleep apnea app, now used in hospitals for digital diagnosis. Dongheon holds a Master’s in AI from KAIST, with prior research in arrhythmia detection and leadership experience as CTO of a battery safety startup. He was named a Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia honoree for healthcare innovation.
Most recently, Asleep was selected as Korea’s representative and won the North Asia Grand Prize at L’Oréal’s Big Bang Open Innovation program.
