Waseem SHIRAZ

Waseem Shiraz is the Senior Vice President of Strategic Initiatives at Quantinuum, the industry leader in quantum computing with the world’s most powerful quantum computer, making groundbreaking scientific advancements and unlocking the full potential of artificial intelligence (Al). I firmly believe that big ideas drive change, not only for industry and enterprise, but for the planet and society as a whole. My current role puts me at the nexus of innovation and business acceleration across diverse sectors including energy, climate change, health, finance, cybersecurity and agriculture - areas in which we are making groundbreaking advancements that will create a more connected world, power new business possibilities, and enable solutions to some of society's most intricate and pressing challenges. Waseem was a member of the founding team of Cambridge Quantum Computing in 2014 and played a pivotal role in the establishment of Quantinuum in 2021, holding various advanced leadership positions, including Chief Operating Officer and Chief of Staff. Waseem is part of the leadership team at Quantinuum and spearheads the company's strategic initiatives to drive business growth, create new markets, secure funding, and bring transformative innovations to the market. Waseem holds a B.Sc. degree from University College London.
