Scientific AI: The Next Frontier for R&D and Engineering

Scientific AI is revolutionizing R&D by accelerating discovery and creating new hypotheses to investigate. Trained on scientific data and powered by AI agents, these models enhance every stage of research—from simulations and lab work to real-world applications—across fields from drug discovery to aerospace engineering. By combining open and proprietary data with expertise, Scientific AI breaks down traditional research silos and unlocks cross-disciplinary insights. To harness the full potential of this competitive advantage, organizations will need to align business and science goals, invest in digital infrastructure, and build agile, multidisciplinary teams.
