About Me

Laura Chaubard is a graduate of École Polytechnique and holds a PhD in algorithms from the University of Paris-Diderot. She began her career at the French Defence Procurement Agency (DGA), where she worked as a technical expert in big data and artificial intelligence, particularly for the intelligence services. She later headed the strategic SMEs office and coordinated the drafting of the 2018–2022 Military Programming Law. In 2017, she was appointed Innovation and Digital Advisor to the French Minister of Armed Forces, where she led the creation of the Defence Innovation Agency, the Definvest fund, the General Directorate for Digital Technology, and the Ministry’s Artificial Intelligence roadmap. In 2019, she became CEO of La Villette (EPPGHV), a major French cultural institution, overseeing site coordination and its multidisciplinary artistic program. Laura Chaubard is an Officer of the National Order of Merit and a Knight of the Legion of Honor
