About Me

Claire Houry is a General Partner at Ventech in its Paris office and has joined the company since 2008. With her mixed educational background from both engineering and business management, Claire started her international career in project financing at Crédit Lyonnais New York and its Parisian office with a focus on infrastructure and environment projects financing. She then joined Crédit Agricole Private Equity in 2000 to create the Venture Capital activity. After that, Claire was welcomed at Ardian – Ex: AXA Private Equity, as Director of Infrastructure Fund. Over the past 20 years, she has advised, invested, and worked in a wide range of consumer and technology companies, and has been on the Board of over 20 companies where she is deeply involved with their global scaling trajectory. Claire now focuses on B2B SaaS, Marketplaces, and Adtech investments as a General Partner at Ventech, where she led the investments in French unicorn Vestiaire Collective, the B2B SaaS leader Botify, and StickyADS since their very early stage of growth. Claire is based in Paris and holds degrees in engineering from Institut Supérieur d’Electronique de Paris and in management from ESSEC Business School. Her involvement with social entrepreneurship via non-profit organization Ashoka complements her capital investing activity.
