Founded in 1934, the University of São Paulo (USP) is a driving force in both technological advancement and academic excellence. Since 2003, USP has been ranked among the top 200 universities in the world in the main higher education rankings. At the undergraduate level, there are 332 programs offered in all areas of knowledge, with nearly 60,000 students in its 43 schools and institutes. In graduate studies, its 264 programs involve more than 30,000 students.
