Reduce our environmental footprint

VivaTech is committed to sustainability through eco-design, circular production, clean mobility,
and innovative tools, all driving our goal to cut down our carbon footprint by 2030.

Commitment to Reducing Our Carbon Footprint

VivaTech calculates the carbon footprint of both the company and the event, and has established a roadmap to reduce its environmental impact by 2030.

96% of Materials Are Repurposed

VivaTech’s spaces and stages are designed with a “less is more” approach, aligning with environmental and social objectives. 96% of materials are reused from year to year (such as the startup corners since 2026), donated to associations, or recycled.

Foster inclusion & diversity in the tech sector

VivaTech champions diversity by amplifying underrepresented voices, fostering gender parity,
mentoring future leaders, and inspiring students to see their place in the tech world.

We are committed to achieving gender parity among our speakers on stage and within the juries for the Awards sessions.

With the Impact Bridge, our 1,500 m² space where solutions, startups, and associations converge to showcase concrete and positive impacts on the planet and society, sponsored by EDF.

14,000 Participants in The Good Hack

Even the smallest idea can make a big impact! Launched in 2023, The Good Hack is the world’s largest ideation marathon, inspiring participants to tackle pressing social challenges. Past topics include women in tech and AI’s societal impact; in 2025, we’ll focus on bridging rural-urban disparities.

30% of Innovations Certified as “Tech For Change”

In partnership with Axionable, we carefully select "Tech for Change" startups for their positive environmental and social impacts. In 2025, the initiative expands with a goal to screen 150 impactful startups and spotlight them through a dedicated awards ceremony.
