About Me
Rohit Prasad is SVP and head scientist for Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) at Amazon. He leads the development of the company's most capable generative AI technologies, including Amazon Nova, state-of-the-art multimodal foundation models. Previously, he led the development of Alexa's AI technologies, where his team's product, engineering, and scientific advances have driven the adoption of AI by millions of customers worldwide. Prior to Amazon, he directed government-sponsored R&D in speech-to-speech translation and other areas at Raytheon BBN Technologies. Rohit is author on more than 100 scientific articles, holds several patents, and serves on the board of the Partnership on AI. In 2024, he was named to the TIME100 Most Influential People in AI.
