About Me

After having held positions in the French administration from 1993 to 1996, Patrick Pouyanné joined the Exploration-Production branch of TotalEnergies in 1997. He became Group Representative in Qatar in 1999, SVP Finance in 2002, SVP Business Development in 2006. He was appointed President, Refining & Chemicals and member of the Executive Committee in 2012. He became CEO of Total in October 2014, and Chairman of the Board and CEO in December 2015. Mr Pouyanné is a graduate of École Polytechnique and an Engineer of the Corps des Mines.
