About Me

Eric Buatois is an experienced venture capitalist with 25+ years in the field, currently at BGV and formerly a General Partner at Sofinnova Ventures. He focuses on building global companies, leading spin-offs, and has contributed to IPOs and M&A deals. He sits on the boards of Onymos, Madkudu, Platform.sh, and others, with past successes including Profitect (Zebra), IdentityMind (Acuant), and UPEK (Apple). Earlier in his career, he held senior roles at Texas Instruments, HP, and Ericsson, where he led key telecom innovations and joint ventures. Eric holds an MSc from Télécom Paris and completed INSEAD’s Advanced Management Program. Based in the Bay Area, he's an avid outdoorsman and a French Tech board member.
