At NcodiN, we develop an optical interposer to address the interconnect bottleneck in next gen. High Performance Computing & Artificial Intelligence processors. These novel architectures, indeed, undergo a deeper and deeper disaggregation of computing functionalities into multiple dies, requiring an ever-intense communication between them. Electrical interconnects, for their physical nature, cannot keep up the pace to provide ultra-fast and energy efficient data traffic in these ultra-powerful processors. Our solution is to develop a nanophotonic chip and replace these copper wires with links that use light as the vehicle of information: this will unlock the full scalability of our clients' processor architectures, allowing them to achieve unprecedented computing power.
